Finally, a Time for Everything!

We've been asked to stay home for now -

Could be a blessing in disguise?

I finally have the time to do things

That have been pressing on my mind.

I'll start with my to do list

And tick that off by lunch;

And after work, I’ll bake a sourdough,

Soft inside, and a crust with crunch.

And while I'm in my apron,

Let me try that Lentil Dahl.

I'll whip up new treats every day -

Call me the new Blumenthal.

I'll experiment with arts and crafts,

And buy watercolours, if amazon allows;

I've never been able to paint before

But no doubt I’ll be able to do it now.

Every evening I’ll do some mindfulness,

I'll be so present, zen and calm;

And if I try a handstand daily,

Next month I'll be walking on my palms.

Plus, I'll do a 30-day yoga challenge

And by the end I'll be pro:

I'll chaturanga so seemlessly,

I'll have a YouTube following - a few thousand or so.

And I want to play piano,

So every day I'll learn a tune;

If I fit it in after my daily run,

I'll be Tchaikovsky by June.

But first - just so I'm refreshed to start -

I think I'll take a nap;

And actually, come to think of it,

I'm too lazy for all that crap.

Flora is currently still going into work as a recovery worker and so trying to fill the time at the end of the day, when you might usually socialise, with new hobbies e.g. writing my first poem.
